Annual Fundraising Appeal

Dear Friend,

Since 2018, Biddeford Community Gardens has been providing the residents of Biddeford access to green spaces where they can grow fresh, nutritious, locally-sourced food in a collaborative, communal, and supportive environment. We currently have four community gardens with a 5th planned for summer of 2024.

We grow more than we need so that we can share some of our harvest through donations to local programs addressing hunger – Biddeford Food Pantry, Youth Full Maine, and Bon Appetit Meal Program. In 2024, we donated more than 1,300 pounds of produce to these organizations.

In order to continue to provide the space, tools, seeds, plants, organizational leadership, and educational programs we need, we rely on the generous support of local businesses, organizations, and people like you! No donation is too small. Whether it’s $5 or $25 or $100, every donation is welcome and appreciated!

Your donation will support –

• Operational costs
• Educational program support
• Garden supplies, seeds, compost etc.
• The purchase and construction of a communal greenhouse

Your donation to Biddeford Community Gardens will be made to Heart of Biddeford, our fiscal sponsor. Heart of Biddeford is a 501c(3) registered non-profit and donations are typically 100% tax deductible. Heart of Biddeford retains a small fee for accounting and administration.
